Let's talk about....

MEN!
I have not had the best experiences when it comes to men. That doesn't mean i have never been in love because i certainly have, it just means that it hasn't exactly always ended the way i would have wanted it to. Take my latest man experience...thought i had met the perfect guy, he was the strong and silent type, very intelligent with an interesting job, had perhaps not had the best familylife but he had turned it all around and most importantly he didn't seem afraid to talk about his feelings - "to good to be true" you are probably thinking right now and ofcourse you would be right haha.
He didn't often speak about his family but it was very clear that he didn't have a very good bond with them and he had been hurt in past relationships and was honest about wanting to take it slow and really get to know one another...until the day, which turned out to be the very next day after me having spent the weekend at his place, when he just didn't get in touch anymore and 3 days later tells me on FACEBOOK of all places that he just wants to be friends!!! Still have not had the bloody decency to pick up the phone and have an actual conversation with me.

So does this mean i should drop men alltogether and live on my own?
Absolutely not, so many of my girlfriends are telling me i should just leave it and not try to find my prince charming and just live on my own for the rest of time...but i can't help having dreams of nights in on the sofa with a good movie, half warm pizza and a bottle of red wine with the man of my dreams sitting next to me and laughing at the totally wrong place in the movie.
I know that it might not be very modern or popular nowadays to admit that you like having a strong man around to take care of you but i really do. I like the feeling of being protected and cared for and if he likes football as well, well then i'm sold haha.

I have decided not to give up, that there is a man out there for me, i just have to wait alittle longer until i find him that's all.
And while i wait i'll read my Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and watch Gavin and Stacey hahaha!

  1. Ofcourse you are gonna find that very man that gives you all. That matches your needs and more. As you are saying, live your life and try to focus on your life 100 % and he will one day come to you. Not saying that he must fall down on his knees and beg you to see him. But take it easy, life is good to the ones who are good to them self, sound unlogical; yet it works. I don't know you so well, but what I've seen so far; is a Diamond with a pure heart! Keep on trucking! :P //Mr Best
